In his closest matchup to date, Ali Salami has defeated Rock Hardison and will be cutting down the figurative nets of the Tournament of Names. Not the flashiest or the dirtiest name in the bracket, Salami simply just would not be denied.
I would like to thank the seeding committee, the critics of the seeding committee, and all those who voted to help crown a winner. This is a lengthy, very important process that cannot be rushed. Some tweaks may be made to the seeding process next year, but only if they are in the best interest of the tournament, and not to appease the rather vulgar demands of a small minority.
The ladies are up in 2023. In the immortal words of Bart Scott, “Can’t wait!”
