This is now the third time I’ve written about Genie Bouchard (previous posts here and here) and none of them have anything to do with tennis. You know, tennis, the sport that’s earned her millions of dollars and made her internationally famous? Yeah, this one again has nothing to do with that. She and John “I’m stretching this 15 minutes of fame as long as I can” Goehrke will be attending the Super Bowl this year here in Minneapolis.

There’s still plenty of speculation around the true nature of Genie and John’s relationship. Friends? Dating? Publicity stunt? It seems like it’s more than just a PR act, though it’s likely paying dividends there as well. It seems to be somewhere in between friends and dating, whatever word you want to use for that. But whatever it is, big props to John. None of my friendships have resulted in courtside seats or free Super Bowl tickets. Aside from being absolutely gorgeous, Genie is also a world-class athlete and seems like a really cool, down to earth girl. I’d be doing the exact same thing if I were in John’s shoes. Keeping riding the wave, buddy.
