After several weeks of voting, one name stands above the rest: Leroy Butts IV. There was never really a close round involving Butts, and he won the championship receiving over 65% of the votes. Personally, Butts IV was one of my favorites going into this tournament, but even I didn’t predict the support he would get from everybody else. It almost seems like destiny – he actually played in this year’s real NCAA Tournament and his Radford Highlanders were defeated by Villanova in the first round (Villanova would eventually go on to win the NCAA Championship).
The top three honorable mentions among the first round losers were the following:
#1 – J’Breun Sprinkle
#2 – Jerry Perry
#3 – Chuck Champion

Thank you to those who voted. Please follow along again next year when the women’s tournament makes its debut!
