Netflix Releases Trailer, Premiere Date for ’90s Comedy ‘Everything Sucks’

Variety

EW – Get ready to feel awkward and excited all at once because Netflix has announced the launch date for new high school series Everything Sucks.

On Feb. 16, the teen dramedy series will be available globally on the streaming service. The show, set in 1996 Boring, Oregon, tells the quirky coming of age tale of the local high school’s A/V Club and Drama Club when the two groups of uncool outsiders come together to take on the purgatory otherwise known as high school.

I’ll be honest, I had never heard of this show until I saw this post. And I could not be more pumped. A Netflix original comedy set in the ’90s?? I’m all in for this! This was pretty much a live look of me when I read the article.

Sure there isn’t a whole lot of information but who cares. It’s a show about growing up in the 90’s. Even if it’s terrible it will still be great. All I ask for is one solid clip of some kids playing Oregon Trail (yes, I know it originally came out long before the ’90s hit, but we crushed that game in all my grade school computer classes, so I’m still counting it as a ’90s thing).

Even though the trailer is less than a minute, it still gave me all the nostalgia. If you grew up in the ’90s like me, I’m sure you will do the same and immediately Google 1990s Buzzfeed and get yourself sucked into that black hole.

Okay, now my mind is just racing with glorious memories of my childhood. I think I’ll go pop open a can of Surge, play a little Goldeneye on N64, and throw on one of the classic Now That’s What I Call Music CDs.

If you’re jonesing for a real good hit of 90’s nostalgia, take a few minutes and enjoy Lil Dicky’s “The ’90s” video.

Warning, if you haven’t heard this song before, NSFW language.
