‘Survivor: Ghost Island’ Cast Revealed

Season Predictions
These will be based off nothing more than what’s in these interviews. So chances are good that whatever I write here will end up being completely 1000% percent wrong. But that’s part of the fun though, right?

First One Out
If Malolo goes to the first Tribal:
I’m torn between Donathan and Jenna. Jenna’s “Why do you think you’ll “survive” Survivor?” answer is not that of a winner. It makes it seem like she won’t put in proper effort. But in thinking more about it, that seems more like a long term problem, rather than something that could get her into trouble in the first three days. So I’m going with Donathan. His answers were so extensive and long-winded. If that is an accurate reflection of his personality, he could be too much of a talker. And that can easily turn people off to you, if you don’t click with them right away.

If it’s Naviti: Bradley. I think often times when people say they hate “people who think they know everything,” they tend to be that person. He also says one of his bad habits is making those around him feel irrelevant. Not a quality you want to display on this show. And he says he likes to lead and take initiative. Those who take the lead from the start don’t exactly have a great track record.

While I believe I have solid reasoning for why I chose those two as “first one out” candidates, it will likely come down to whoever messes up in the immunity challenge, or the one person who doesn’t find him or herself as more of a lone wolf, not really attached to any one group.

He’s changed jobs a lot and, if he’s to be believed, has done so successfully. That would suggest he’s quite capable of adapting to wildly different situations, which is something that can happen at the drop of a hat in Survivor. And if he can back up his claim that he can read a room and knows how to make others feel comfortable, he should be able to go a long way.

You can easily see he’s incredibly smart. As he says in his bio, he’s fully aware there “is no magic formula to winning Survivor.” It may sound simple and obvious, but knowing that and having your actions support that are two different things. Specifically mentioning it shows he’s fully aware of the need to be able to adjust your strategy on the fly. Someone with his perceived intelligence should be able to handle the constant changing winds of the game.

Physically fit, probably stronger than you might think. She realizes the importance of the social game and sees that as one of her strengths. She’s a beautiful woman who is fully aware of it. Those types can be dangerous in Survivor. She might be able to hide behind her beauty for a while, not come off as too strong of a threat too early.

Call it a gut feeling but a main reason for singling her out is her service background. Think about all the successful contestants who have or had a dangerous service occupation (military, police officer, firefighter). Terry Dietz, Ben Driebergen, Tony Vlachos, Sarah Lacina, Jeremy Collins, even Kyle Jason finished 6th. Obviously there are other, less successful examples, but the fact remains, there is a track record for success. I’m a bit worried she gets singled out as one of the “old” contestants, but that could also play into her favor. I have a feeling she will be a challenge beast, but hopefully that won’t fully show until later in the game.

Read her bio again if you don’t know why I’m including her. It’s all there. Smart, driven, lives in a house with seven other girls (maybe it’s speaking as a guy, but that sounds like it would be…difficult). And if you think the emotional card makes a difference, she would have quite the story to tell.

He gives off an Ozzy vibe, which bodes well for him as maybe a Top 5, Top 3 finisher. But he does compare himself to Tyson, who had a much stronger social game than Ozzy (something that clearly held him back in his Survivor career). If he truly has that combination, he could emerge as a dangerous threat.

If I was forced to pick a winner out of these six, I’m going with Angela. But I will make my official winner pick in my season premiere recap.
