Genie Bouchard, the surprise early star of this blog (I’ve previously written about her here, here, here, and here) is back at it, this time with a bombshell (Is that the right word for this? I’m gonna stick with it) confirmation of her relationship status: she’s single! Everyone had long been wondering whether or not she was actually dating her Super Bowl Twitter Date, one Mr. John Goehrke. Sorry, John, but it looks like that ship has officially sailed.

There’s still the question if John is still in the picture at all. If they were just friends the whole time, I’d imagine he still would be. But now that we have confirmation, I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see lots of people on Twitter attempt a “Goehrke” as it should now be called. He deserves at least that much, the dude’s a legend.
And since I’m sure Genie will read this blog, from one world class* tennis player to another, “Sup? We’re both tired of playing singles, want to play some doubles?” (Just as I’m sure you cringed reading that, I cringed harder writing it. But I’m sticking with it. shooters shoot)
