We Finally Get Our First Look At Venom In Newly Released Trailer

After the the so-so teaser trailer, fans had been waiting for the first official, full trailer for Sony’s Venom to drop. And we got it Monday night, as the new footage was shown at CinemaCon in Las Vegas. And it was a big step up from that initial footage. I thought it all looked good, but of course the big reveal is our first glimpse of Venom itself. The full face is visible for just a brief moment, but the first impression of how it looks is pretty good. And you’d have to think some of the CGI and other effects are still being finished up, so the final product could (should?) be even better than what we see here.

While this was all well and good, there was one other part that got me excited: the “In Association With Marvel” banner at the beginning of the trailer. We all know there’s been lots of back and forth over which characters belong to which company, especially with the Spider-Man universe. Obviously with Spider-Man appearing in the MCU, there is some crossover between Sony and Marvel, but it’s still unknown how far that will go. I would love to see Venom in the MCU; I think great things would come from that. And maybe this is an indication of what’s to come. Only time will tell, of course. So for now, just watch the new trailer, and enjoy.
