The first teaser trailer was released for Sony Picture’s Venom, starring Tom Hardy. Unfortunately it was nothing special, nothing to get the blood pumping. But while it wasn’t a great first impression, I’m still holding out hope for this to be a hit. There was nothing about the trailer that sucked, nor anything that actively made me worried about the final product. Tom Hardy is great, and Venom is a great character; there’s still lots of potential here. Plus we didn’t get to see actual Venom in action. I’m assuming that is being saved for the first full trailer. Once that drops we should have a better idea of what kind of movie we’ll be getting.
